Looking for a business to buy is like entering a maze. Business Brokers don't have a buyers interest at heart. Unless you want to buy one of their listings, they won't waste time on you - they act for the seller. Engaging an exclusive buyers advocate to find you the right business will save you time, money and stress.

Searching for a business to buy is a challenge - it can cost you time, money and stress. If you are a serious buyer it might even send you crazy.

There are thousands of businesses to buy on the market at any one time. In most cases Business Brokers are engaged to sell these businesses and in doing so, place them on various websites.

As you can’t sell a secret, some brokers duplicate their listings in advertising and have the one business located in various suburbs.

Some brokers have the same business duplicated but reworded so as it appears to be a different business

Some brokers highlight an asking price and provide details and others show very little information - which raises concerns whether the business actually exists - YES - doesn’t exist. Why do they do this? To get you the buyer to contact them to try to sell you a business you don’t want

A brokers branded website is normally clear of duplication so they don’t confuse themselves, but it doesn’t mean that businesses haven’t already been sold. Leaving sold listing on the website makes them appear successful and having more businesses to sell than what they actually have.

Looking for the right business is like entering a maze. If you have the time it can be revealing but if you don’t have time and you are a serious buyer it can be frustrating.

Having a business broker find you a business to buy is a waste of time. Their job is to sell and unless you want to buy one of their listings, they won’t invest or waste their time with someone not paying them commission - remember you are not their client

Reality is, business brokers are NOT buyers advocates - their client is the seller - not the buyer

Engaging a buyers advocate to find you the right business will save you time, money and stress.

But make sure the buyers advocate is independent and not linked to a business brokerage firm. You don’t truly think a sellers agent will have your best interests as a priority.
